We have a great opportunity to be part of a well-established and reputable company in the City of Industry, CA. We are currently seeking a buffer/polisher for a hardware manufacturing company with a large inventory of simple to customized beautiful doorknobs. If you are highly motivated and have great energy, we would like you to join our team!
Schedule:1st shift
Pay rate: $18.50
The buffer is responsible for the grinding, sanding or polishing of our different metals including stainless steel and aluminum and a variety of other metals with the use of hand tools or hand-held power tools.
- Prepare surfaces for buffing by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Use power tools and hand tools to buff and polish surfaces to a smooth finish
· Responsible of grinding, sanding, cleaning, or polishing objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
· Responsible for controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes.
· Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met.
· Verify quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions.
· Record product and processing data on specified forms.
· Trim, scrape, or deburr objects or parts, using hand tools and equipment.
· Transfer equipment, objects, or parts to specified work areas, using moving devices
Requirements:
- Previous experience in buffing
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of power tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
